Services we Do Not Offer
-Trail Rides
-Just Riding
-Pop-In Lessons

Our schedule is set to fit the needs of ourselves and our clients.
We manage the care of horses not owned by us and our program is small, and prioritizes our horses mental and physical wellbeing.
Lessons need to be scheduled in advance and, for liability reasons, we don't offer "pop-in" or one-time lessons unless scheduled well in advance.

-Just Visiting
As stated, we manage the care of horses not owned by us personally. Horses, like humans and other animals, have individual health restrictions and personalities. Unless you schedule a time to visit, please do not come into the stable areas and touch or feed the horses.
Some have dietary/medical restrictions.
Some are not friendly.

To keep everyone healthy, safe and happy, we ask that everyone be respectful of our large animal companions.
Thank You!

Boarding FAQ:
Stable Hours:
Our stable hours are 6:30am-8:30pm to ensure that horses are relaxed and settled for night check
Turnout:
Turnout is individual and varies between half day (6am-11am, 11am-3:30pm) and full day (10hrs) weather permitting. We do not turn horses out on Sundays unless we are home. We take Sundays to run errands off property and would like to know horses are safe inside (although, if the weather permits, you can typically find horses out on most Sundays, we are very much home bodies here)
Routine:
Our day starts at 5am for feeding. Horses get beet pulp then grain and water is checked. Between 5:30am and 6am, (weather permitting) horses are turned out and stalls are picked and re-bedded, water buckets are dumped, rinsed and refilled. Horses are then fed hay again outside or in depending on the day. Hay is put in stalls for when horses come in.
Around 11/11:30 we check horses, give hay or water if needed, and bring in any horses that seem unsettled outside to the point they may injure themselves. Around 3pm, we venture back out to the barn for afternoon chores. Stalls are cleaned if they have been inside, beet pulp, grain and hay are fed, and horses come in between 3:30 and 4pm unless weather/temperatures permit, then they may stay out until closer to 5 or 6pm.
Horses are checked around 6pm and again between 9pm and 10pm for the last time for the night.

Lesson FAQ:
Disciplines:
Those lessoning on their own horse are welcome to ride and work on whatever discipline they choose.
First lesson will be an evaluation of, and constructive conversation about, goals to develop a plan of action going forward to suit horse and rider needs and skill level.
Those enrolled in our horsemanship program with start with at least the first 4 lessons or more working on developing clear communication and understanding on the ground, from there we can work on moving to riding where we develop a clear understanding of being safe and keeping the horse balanced and confident as well as the rider. While our program focuses more on the Western/working horse, there may be options to ride English as well.

Refunds/Cancellations/Makeups:
Lesson fees are non-refundable. Cancellations need to be 24hours prior to lesson to be eligible for a makeup.

Training FAQ:

All Access Pass- You will have rides/work time with Emily in the arena, while she gives constructive guidance on a regular basis. This is what she has found to be the best way to get the horse and rider working together and progressing with the best results.
