What a great first outing!RO Swags Lil Chick, "Sooty", had a perfect first outing! We kept it low key for her first show, going in only Model and Halter classes and this filly rocked it! Stepped right in the trailer and handled the grounds and all the new sights (even met a Mini for the first time!) With large classes, the stripped filly held her own, setting up basically perfect each time and standing quietly in large classes! "Sooty" took home three 3rd place ribbons and a 4th place in classes of 11, 15, 18 and an 11 class split of originally 25 horses! Kyra Laframboise and Batt Mans Gone Cajun, "Bunny" also had their first outing as a team as well! With "Bunny" more nervous in this environment, Kyra also played smart and played safe doing only halter and model classes as well! Placing competitively, Kyra and I were so proud of bunny overcoming her nerves and standing (and falling asleep) quietly in her classes as well! More photos to come! Will will be back at the Champlain Valley Horse Shows second show July 7th-9th, held at the Addison County Field Days venue. |
