Since the last update, the kids have now gotten through their 3rd show of the season and Summer Camp was a success!
All rider and horse teams have made great improvements and progressed since the first show of the season! Rain was successful jumping off the farm for the first time, everyone has had a great time at the shows!
I could not be more proud of all the kids and more thankful for their parents for making the shows a possibility for all of them!
All of the riders that are showing this year are working extremely hard to put the polishing touches on their riding for the first show of the season, just 30 days away! We will have plenty of photos to share from the first show!
Keep watch for updates!! :)
Yes, back to show season!our first show is quickly approaching in about 90 days! The show dates are:
May 20 & 21
June 10 & 11
July 15 & 16
August 19 & 20
September 9 & 10
This summer Emily will be doing a summer camp! Camp will start on July 10 and will be every day through July 14th. Any one interested, please feel free to email, call or text her about it. Her contact info is on the lesson page of the website!
Just because the 2016 show season is over for the Cottonwood crew does not mean we aren't working just as hard to prepare for next season!
Rain is currently half leased and is working to show in the Senior division and hopefully in the 2'6" jumping division with her rider.
Silver and his rider are working hard to nail down navigating the arena for the PeeWee division.
Newest student Jordan and her mare, Jamie are working to go back into Beginner or Novice division as they are majorly improving as a team!
Keep an eye out, year end awards are next Saturday, November 5th! Check back to see how the Cottonwood Students did overall this season!
As much as we all love showing, we are all glad when the season comes to an end as well.
Silver, shown as "Cottonwood's Silver Fox" was phenomenal this season!
He showed with "Big Hannah" in the Junior division, managed to get 3rd, and 2 reserve championships for the weekend Junior Division Champion and also got Champion in the 18" cross rails in June and got Champion for the 2'6" division in July and August.
He also showed with "Little Hannah" in the PeeWee division, at Hannah's first show in July, she showed 1 day and the pair got 2 second place ribbons and a first place ribbon in the classes she went into! In September, they showed in all 6 of the PeeWee classes and managed to get 3rd place for the weekend PeeWee Division Championship!
Congratulations both Hannah's and Silver on their great show season! We are so proud of you all!
"Little Hannah" is planning on showing in PeeWee with Silver again next summer and "Big Hannah" will be showing Rain in the Senior division next summer!
