At our stable, horsemanship is the top priority of our program. We typically offer two horsemanship clinics each year, with one in the spring to kick off Vermont's "warm season" by focusing on the basics to help you and your horse start the best riding season on the right foot. We strongly encourage anyone planning to attend a cattle clinic to participate in these horsemanship clinics, as they provide horse and rider a solid foundation for developing cattle working skills.
We hold two introductory cattle working clinics annually—one in April or May and another in October.
From June through September, we usually run a cattle working series, offering one clinic per month.
Participation in the series requires a commitment to attend all scheduled clinics, as missing one can set both horse and rider back, disrupting the progress of the entire group. If you’d like to join the series, we ask that you commit fully. The only exception is if you miss the final clinic of the season, which has less impact on group learning.

Clinic Series:
3 Clinic Series: $750 Total, 4 Clinic Series: $1,000 Total Maximum: 6 Participants *Please bring a copy of a current Coggins test* If we offer a series of 3 clinics, a $400 Non-Refundable deposit is required 1 month prior the first clinic date. If we offer a series of 4 clinics, a $600 Non-Refundable deposit is required 1 month prior to the first clinic date. Flag Practice
As we work to build our cattle program, we are going to be utilizing our flag to help horses and riders get a feel for how horses should be moving through turns and rating cattle. Our hope is to offer a flag practice day or evening fall through early spring. While we have nothing set in stone yet, please keep an eye out for dates!
