Our turnout consists of individual paddocks that each include access to water and a hay feeder.
This allows us to not only be consistent with our feed program and be able to monitor what the horses eat, and watch how they feel on a day to day basis, no matter the season or weather. It also allows us to consistently interact with horses they like being around minimizing risk for injury. Horses get rotated daily depending on the number of horses in the facility and what owners want for turnout. At the very least horses are out at least 5 hours per day, and horses out all day get 10 hours of turnout. Transitioning horses to this schedule has never been an issue with our consistency in our program. |
