Cottonwood Stables is a full service equine boarding facility in Colchester, Vermont.
On over 200 acres bordering the Winooski River, our farm provides amazing views of the Lake Champlain basin and the
Adirondacks. Our convenient location, only two and a half miles north of Burlington, makes us an ideal choice for all Chittenden County residents, as well as students from St. Michaels College and UVM.

The farm, founded as a large dairy operation has been in the Senesac family since the 1920's.  Our long history of caring for horses began generations ago with workhorses, and has continued ever since. We have transformed our farm into a premier facility which meets the needs of any avid equestrian.

Our Priority is to ensure the safety and health of all horses that are in our care. Our regular routine keeps horses content, happy and healthy while allowing owners peace of mind knowing what their horse's schedule through the day is. We are sure to take care of every horse in our facility as if it were our own. We pay attention to details such as how they keep their stalls, how they like to eat, how much water they intake. To accomplish this, myself and my father are the two people taking care of the horses. You will always see at least one of us when any chores are being preformed during the day. This allows for us to easily pick up on any potential sickness or issue your horse may be having.

To ensure the highest quality, all our hay is produced on site, and we regularly have hay and soil testing.  The extra care we take in forage production guarantees the best feed for every horse in our facility. We also feed Poulin Grain which is formulated to meet the nutritional needs of horses living in the New England area specifically which ensures us and horse owners that their horses are getting the best we can offer! Locally owned, produced and sourced!

You want to feed you and your family locally to ensure the best, why not do the same for your horse?!
