About the Facility & Training Program
We very commonly hear how surprised owners are when their horse moves in and just how quickly they relax and settle into our facility. And they are always fairly surprised.
We aren't.
With our consistency to pay attention to detail and keep things as routine as possible, horses settle into our programs quickly and happily. As stated before, we know horses THIRVE knowing what to expect.
They expect one of our staff members to feed them, turn them out, be cleaning their stall, bring them inside, and do checks throughout the day and night. While those may seem like such minor details to many, here at Cottonwood, we know just how vital those things are to keeping your horses happy and healthy in our care.

Horses thrive on knowing what to expect. That's what kept horses in our facility so healthy for as long as we've been in business.
Routine and consistency is also the base of our training program at Cottonwood. With a vast knowledge of various training and horsemanship techniques, the horses in our facility and in our training program thrive with the skills, confidence and knowledge to progress in whatever direction riders wish to go in. There is never a day that stalls aren't cleaned at least once, if not twice daily. You'll often see us maintaining our riding areas, turnouts and more. Our goal is provide the best we can with what our facility has to offer.
And we do just that. Every day. 365 days per year. No holildays or sick days off. You NEVER have to worry about your horse in our care. We make our facility and your horse our first priority. Always. |
Cottonwood Stables, LLC, originally E&J Senesac Farm, was founded as a dairy operation in the 1920's has been home to the Senesac family as we share our love of farming, family, and quality work.
Our long history of caring for horses began generations ago with work horses and has continued ever since. We have transformed our farm into a premier facility to meets the needs of any avid equestrian and equine. And despite our transformation from dairy to equine, we still take pride in being able to provide our own high-quality forage for our feed program. We test our hay and pick our grain to match what we have produced for hay to ensure that your horse is getting everything they need nutritionally without adding extra cost to you! With our goal being the health and well-being of your horse, we can assure you that you will not find a facility that pays more attention to detail and gives the horses more of their personal time then we do here at Cottonwood. With our family not only owning but managing and overseeing all daily tasks, we know the horses in our care more than the facility's that have multiple staff members in charge of day-to-day activities. You will always see one of us doing stalls, feeding, turn in and turn out, along with daily and nightly checks on the horses. We are fully educated in just how much horses thrive on routine and consistency, so we uphold that by not only keeping our day-to-day routine the same, but the people providing the care in those day-to-day tasks the same as well. |
